Paul has been in law for some 38 years and is a Registered Legal Practitioner in the Isle of Man. He is a South African attorney and Patent Attorney, and has retired from the roll after a decade as an English solicitor. He has experience in offshore structuring and corporate work, e-commerce, general commercial work, software outsourcing and licensing, and patent and trade mark work.
He holds a BSc.Eng and the B.Proc and LLB degrees from the universities of Pretoria, South Africa and Witwatersrand respectively.
Frank worked as a software development engineer in a senior capacity for many years prior to qualifying as a patent attorney. He has some 20 years experience in patents. Frank runs the formal intellectual property side of the practice, and is involved in drafting patent specifications and obtaining patents, trade marks and domain names. He also deals with the acquisition, management and strategic use of intellectual property.
Frank holds an MSc.Eng from the University of the Witwatersrand, and a BSc(Hons) in Operations Research and the B.Proc degree from the University of South Africa. He is a Registered Legal Practitioner in the Isle of Man.
Marc is the managing partner of the firm and has more than 20 years of legal experience. Marc is a Registered Legal Practitioner in the Isle of Man, an English solicitor and a South African attorney and conveyancer. Marc has particular experience of advising businesses in the technology and internet sector with a focus on software licensing and offshore structuring. Marc has experience in private equity corporate work, payment processing, general intellectual property, commerce and e-commerce work.
Marc holds the BLC and LLB degrees from the University of Pretoria.
Lynton is an English Solicitor and South African Attorney. Lynton has practised law in South Africa, London and the Isle of Man and has experience in corporate and offshore structuring, the purchase and sale of companies and businesses (primarily in the online technology sector), corporate finance, winding-up procedures and the drafting of general commercial, e-commerce and software licensing agreements.
He has had exposure to international tax in relation to cross-border investments, and company and trust residence, management and control issues.
Lynton holds a B.Soc.Sci, and the LLB degrees from the University of Natal, South Africa and is a Registered Legal Practitioner in the Isle of Man.
Angela is an English Solicitor, a South African Attorney and Trade Mark Attorney, as well as a Registered Legal Practitioner in the Isle of Man. She maintains the various Trade Mark portfolios of the firm's clients and deals with the acquisition, maintenance and enforcement of Intellectual Property rights, particularly Trade Marks, Copyright and domain names. She also deals with various commercial and corporate aspects relating to the various Intellectual Property portfolios of the firm's clients and has a particular interest in international brand licensing agreements.
Angela holds an LLB degree from the University of Pretoria, is a Fellow of the South African Institute of Intellectual Property Law and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys.
Alison is an English solicitor and is a Registered Legal Practitioner in the Isle of Man. She has been in law for seven years. She deals with general commercial work and software licensing.
Alison holds a BA (Hons) degree from the University of Wales, Lampeter and an LLB degree from Aberystwyth University, Wales.
